Solar Lamps to School Children

Large parts of rural India across the country are still untouched by electricity. Data shows that 43 percent of rural households use kerosene to light their houses(census,2011) and the same used by students to study. The company, under its Solar Urja Lamps initiatives in partnership with IIT Bombay, works on to provide clean source of light to student for study and skill development through learning assembling, distribution and repairs of the lamp. Under this initiative solar lamps are provided to school children for study.

Year of Implementation: 2015-16,2016-17 and 2017-18

Project Outreach: Total 5,25,303 (3,25,303 during financial year 2015-16 and 1,00,000 each during financial year 2016-17 & 2017-18) school children.
